Welke stoffen zitten er in?

In citroenverbena zit vooral etherische olie met voornamelijk aldehyden zoals geraniol, citrol, neral en eucalyptol. Voorts bevat het flavonoïden zoals hispiduline, salvigenine en eupafoline. Ook bevat het kruid betacaryofyleen, alfafarnesseen, monoterpenen waaronder limoneen, terpeenalcoholen zoals linoöl en terpineol en furcumarinen.
